Sassy returned my email in under 24 hours! And with good news - the toy was free of BPA, phthalates and PVC. I'm always looking for safe(r) toys for Nate, so I went a little nuts and over the past few months accumulated the following Sassy toys (all impulse buys): real life remote, click clack keys, sensation station and phone of my own. Nate likes them all, but loves Sassy Click Clack Keys Rattle Developmental Toy the best - which is no surprise because he played with them at his best friend's house and liked them there. I also bought two more toys for our upcoming road trip: keyboard classics and trumpet tunes, so it's TBD whether they're a hit as well.
I bought all these not knowing if they were safe, but hoping they were because they had the same "paint free safe for mouthing" label on the packaging. So I contacted Sassy again late Saturday night. By Monday morning, I received this answer:
All of the products you mentioned are BPA, PVC and phthalate-free. Be assured we only use safe non-toxic materials. The safety of the children using/playing with our products is our primary concern, and all of our products meet and exceed all safety standards set by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and the American Society for Testing & Materials (ASTM).
