As I've mentioned before, Nate no longer uses baby sign language to communicate now that he speaks. As his verbal skills picked up (particularly after seventeen months old), our use of sign language dropped off. But Nate still loves to learn new signs and use them for fun. If he asks me for a sign that I don't know (and don't have time to look up), I'll give him a related sign instead. I don't know the sign for banjo, but I do know the sign for music.
