Long Island Scottish Festival
We finally made it to the Long Island Scottish Festival this year. I've been dying to go for the past few years since (a) I love a festival and (b) Nate is a quarter Scottish. It was a lot of fun, but we were completely unprepared for it. Apparently it is the sort of thing where people bring coolers and canopies and set up for an all day affair. I brought some water and a boy that needed a nap.

White Post Farms 2012
Even though it's completely overpriced, I really love White Post Farms. And it's fun to compare our pictures this year from last year. He looks so big now!
He's still a little apprehensive when it comes to feeding the animals |
Not that I blame him when they look like this |
Although this guy is even creepier and Nate would have stared at him all day |
Luckily the giant wooden vehicles were there to help him move on from an unfortunate slide incident minutes earlier |
Oh how hilarious |
And we can't come here without a train ride |

Turntables
DJ Nate has been begging for big headphones and a turntable. You know, like most kids his age.
He was able to earn his headphones recently from one of our 5000 sticker charts. But a turntable seemed like a an awfully big prize just for peeing in the toilet. After I suggested that Nate ask Santa for the turntable and leave me alone, I remembered that my son was three and has a better imagination than I do.

So we improvised.
